Merry Christmas to all! I hope that you had a wonderful holiday, and enjoyed spending time with friends and family! We had a rather quiet Christmas Eve this year, verses our usual big holiday party. This year it was just me, my husband and Mikey :) We did last minute shopping on Christmas Eve, came home and had a quick bite to eat, and headed out for a candle lite service at church. The only problem was the time on the marque was wrong ( although they did change it I didn't notice the change) so we arrived 10 minutes before the end of the service. The pastor was nice enough to give me communion afterwards, and apologized for the mix up. We came home and had some cookies, and before you know it, it was bath time for Mikey, we read Good Night Moon, and I told him the story of Jesus's birth, then it was off to sleep to wait for Santa.
Santa make his big arrival, and Mikey was so thrilled with his new play kitchen that he really couldn't be bothered with the rest of his gifts. We got to skype with my daughter, son in law an Oliver, which made my day to be able to see them on Christmas! The other kids arrived later on as well as the grand kids, and we had a very enjoyable visit. Poor Mikey is all worn out from such a long day, and only one short nap, and was ready for bed early.
As this year is coming to a close, I am so thankful for all the wonderful friends that I have made via the internet, and for the simple things in life. But most of all I am thankful for the gift of Christ, who saved someone like me! Merry Christmas to all, and wishing you all a very Blessed New Year to come!
