Where does the time go?

I can't believe it's been weeks since I posted! I have been busy, busy busy.  We have been working on the yard, and of course playing outside with Mikey :)  He loves his slide, pool and sandbox. Although he isn't crazy about swinging.

My craft time has been a few days during the week, and late nights.I get so involved with what I am doing that I loose site of the time, and before I know it; it's 4 am !  After a few nights like that I am shot for a few days, but I really enjoy late night crafting.  It's so peaceful, and for the most part I don't have a radio or tv going so it's just the sweet sound of silence!  Here are some of my new creations.

I am now selling both wholesale and retail , and am going to be really concentrating on making more of my own patterns to offer. Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in purchasing anything you see on my blog, at cedarcreekprimitives@gmail.com   Have a great day!

Pictures don't lie!

My daughter sent me some pictures from the wedding, for the most part they were beautiful. Now I know that I am over weight, and have known that for awhile, and I know that I have put on some extra weight since I hurt my back, but boy oh boy..... when I saw myself in those pictures!!!!!  So Starting Monday, I started my diet, and exercising!  Monday and Tuesday I went walking, and today I did dance revolution on Wii..boy am I out of shape lol!  I was huffin' and puffin' and  sweating like crazy! But I get the sweating part is a good thing :) . I also joined weight watchers on line, and am tracking everything I put in my mouth.  So that being said, I need to keep myself extra busy sewing and keep myself out of the kitchen!   I just finished 2 dolls, and I am writing out patterns to add to my Etsy shop. So be on the look out.

Back in the swing of things!

After my trip to Charlotte for my daughters wedding, it took a while for me to get back into the swing of things. I swear when I got home my laundry had mated in the hamper and multiplied! Not only did I have all that laundry to do, but the laundry that I created on our trip. Mikey managed to wear every outfit that I packed for him, and believe me I packed like we were going to be away for a month lol!  Once I got all caught up on laundry and actually had a couple of good nights sleep, I got back to work.  Three new dolls done, and so many new ideas running around in my head. I can't wait to get started on my next project.

It's almost Friday, so I will say enjoy your weekend!

Happy Easter

The weather this year seems to have forgotten that it is Spring! It reminds me of growing up in Buffalo and standing outside for our Easter pictures all dressed in our new outfits and pretty shoes and hats and being ankle deep in snow !  We aren't as warm as we normally have been in years past here in NC, but I'm sure not going to complain, because before you know it, it is going to be so hot and humid that I will be wishing for days like these.  Wishing you all a very Happy Easter!

What a weekend!

Wow what I weekend I had!  We traveled to Charlotte to attend my daughters wedding! She was so beautiful, and the wedding and reception was just lovely! My son officiated the ceremony, and they did a really sweet thing during the ceremony. My son explained that a marriage must be build on a solid foundation like a rock, (everyone had received a stone prior to the ceremony) we were all to make a wish with the stone and go up and place the stones in a circle around them, helping them to remember what their marriage was founded on. It was so sweet.  The food was wonderful, and all and all we had a wonderful time. I do have to say that my daughters dress looks like it was made just for her. She was a beautiful bride! We are so lucky that she found such an amazing young man to marry. We welcome to the family with open arms my new son in law Jimmy!

Now the fun is over and it's time for me to get back to work, I have dolls that are waiting for me, and a few new painted items in the works.  Have a wonderful week everyone!

Busy, busy, busy!

Well it has been a busy week, I decided that I needed to make more room in my craft room, because I was tripping over everything! Of course I had this epiphany when I was in the middle of sewing.. lol  I just had to de-clutter and downsize some of the things in my space. So after 2 days of rearranging, cleaning and sorting. I finally have a comfortable place to work in. Mind you don't open my closet lol .. I haven't touched that, and don't plan on it until my husband is ready to make me shelving for in there. For now I just need to put up a danger sign, and enter at your own risk :)

I did get 2 more bunnies done, and 2 more are in the finishing stages, I'm moving slow with an upset tummy and a sinus headache, but I do hope to complete these bunnies in the next day or so, so I can move onto some other things that I have planned.

Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day!
My wish for you is that the one you love shows just how much they care everyday! It doesn't have to be with flowers, candy or a gift, but with the little things that they do to make you feel special.  Like that little smile, a touch of your hand, and a understanding ear.
Don't wait for a holiday to tell the ones you love how much they mean to you, let them know every day that they are special !
Happy Valentines Day !

Duct Tape My new best friend!

Yep that's right duct tape is my new best friend!  I don't care how many "child proof " locks we put in this house this little man, can either open them or squeeze his arm in enough to get what he wants... so I have resorted to duct taping almost everything lol. My dishwasher, stove, drawers, cabinets you name they all have a pretty piece of duct tape on them to keep my lil man's hands out! This works until he manages to peel it off, and then we start with a fresh piece ... what can I say duct tape decor in my home now! LOL
Not me.. I'm sweet!

I have gotten some crafting in, Miss Ellie is all done and ready to be put on etsy, and I have a new raggedy doll in the works. I also got some new patterns that I can't wait to get started on.. and some of my own designs that are on the table too... I sure do appreciate my husband, who has been doing Mikey duty so I can spend time creating... you don't find many guys like him!

Katlynne and Jimmy
I do have to go shopping for a mother of the brides dress... the only problem is I have gained so much weight since I took a header down the stairs and hurt my back, that I am dreading shopping. My mind still sees me as a young skinny thing, but that dang mirror tells a different story!

I have joined a new Etsy team Folk Art and Primitives I am excited to be a part of this team of talented ladies, please stop by ETSY and type in FAAP and see all their wonderful works!
